About Artic's Air Academy

Artic's Air Academy, LLC, was initially conceived in November 2008 and opened its doors as a flight training / instructional facility in January 2009, with emphasis on training the student pilot as its cornerstone for growth.

The Academy has grown substantially and is currently the largest flight school in the State of Alaska, offering specialized training in Mountain Flying, Gravel and Unimproved Runway Applications, Bush Environment, Tail-wheel, Float, Ski and Multi-Engine endorsements.

The Academy is a wholly owned Alaskan Business and operated by three (3) principal partners. Artic Wikle, Chief Flight Instructor, Susan Wikle, Office Manager, Kenneth More, General Manager and became a Limited Liability Company in September of 2009.

Since its inception, the Academy continues its growth process through innovative marketing, as unique to the diversity of the environment in which live.

Though not a year old, our client base has shown growth commensurate with our goal in establishing a reputation of superior service and safety.

Our current client structure includes the State of Alaska - Division of Forestry, City of Palmer, Palmer Municipal Airport, Matanuska-Susitna Borough, United States Census Bureau and the Federal Aviation Administration and Native American Bank.

With a vision toward the future, one of our endeavors is reinvesting resources into the State of Alaska.

Through a partnership with Native American Bank, a "bridge loan" program is currently in development to provide training to Alaskan Native youth who desire a career in Aviation but may lack the ability to currently attain such a goal.

It is the intent of the Academy to continue to provide an opportunity and produce a superior pilot with the skills to match the ever changing challenge's we face in Alaska's aviation industry.
